Heat Pumps Are Energy Efficient
The gas furnace has a more aggressive approach to HVAC, blowing in hot air in spurts. With a heat pump, heating and cool is far more constant because the heat pump works constantly. Just like the refrigerator, it is always on and constantly adjusts the temperature throughout the day. Though it sounds expensive, it is incredibly cost-effective.
Heat pumps generate two to three times more heat for each unit of energy it uses. This is significantly higher than gas furnaces, which can have an efficiency rating anywhere between 80 to 90 percent.
